When I was about 5 years old, the church that I attended met in the front room of our home. My parents and a small group of friends had started a new church, and that's where it had it's beginnings.
From birth I had been attending church with my parents and older brothers and sister. But at this time in my life I realized how important church was to my family. God had been working in the hearts of my parents to start this new church. They were teaching me and my brothers and sister and the other children that came to our house for church how important it was to gather together to worship.
During these weekly gatherings, we prayed, we sang songs, we read from the Bible, we listened to teaching. The same things you do if you go to church in a church building. We were with God's people doing things that God taught us to do!
I hope your family has that same love for God! I pray when Sunday comes each week, you are eager to gather together to ask the Lord's blessing just as these singers did when they gathered together to sing this song!
